Looking after your leather bag

LOVE THY BAG

We LOVE leather! We love it for its strength, versatility and durability! We love the feel, smell and the way it looks, especially on bags! And with a little love and care they can last a life time.

Try not to over fill any of your bags, as this could cause it to loose its shape and maybe stretch and or even break the straps. When you are not using your KONOC bag, fill it with paper or better still bubble-wrap (don't over stuff it!!), this will help keep its shape. Keep it in your KONOC dust bag to stop it getting marked or over exposed to sunlight. Baby wipes are a good way of keeping your leather bags clean, but don't use them on suede. For Suede and the Nubuck you will need to erase any stains with specially designed 'suede erasers'. Please avoid using any 'cleaning' products with harsh chemicals or alcohol in them. Oil, grease and most pens are nearly impossible to remove from leather and suede. Make sure that any food or drink accidents are cleaned up as quickly as possible with a slightly damp cloth or leather cleaner. Before using any products (even specific leather and suede items) please test them on a non visible area of the bag first (such as the base of the bag). Don't apply products to the bag first, use a rag or cloth to apply all creams and waxes. Follow directions on the products tin! Leather doesn't love the rain, so if its pouring outside it might be better to use a different bag! but if it does get wet, blot with a paper towel. Keep your bag away from direct heat or long periods of sunlight, these can damage leather, cause it to fade or become dry and cracked. 

All leather and suede age (we believe beautifully). colours change and darken over time and continual use, we refer to this as the KONOC bag maturing! They are intended to be worn and loved by their owners and we think they all improve with age.
